A small studio that builds websites
&
AI agents, quoting tools, admin bots, sales engines
for businesses that make real things.
We're Chris & Kay — a husband-and-wife studio working with SMBs across the UK: manufacturers, trades, EV installers, retailers, charities — anyone with a real business and real people to serve. Based in Tameside, working all over. For decades you could pick two of fast, good and affordable — never three. AI changed that. We pair custom agents with proper web craft, so SMEs finally get all three.

Services / Ledger
Three disciplines under one roof. Joined up so nothing falls through the gap.
Let a machine do the busywork.
Your team spends hours every week on tasks a computer could handle in seconds — chasing updates, copying data between systems, reading PDFs, filing emails. We build the bits that take care of it so your people stop copy-pasting.
Websites that actually win work.
Most industrial SMEs have a website that sits there doing nothing. We build the kind that ranks on Google, reads well on a phone at a jobsite, and puts real enquiries in your inbox every week. No templates, no stock photos.
Software built to your shop-floor.
When an off-the-shelf SaaS doesn't fit — because your process is actually yours — we build you the bespoke thing. Same team as the AI and web work, so everything speaks to everything.
Old rule · New rule
Fast. Good. Affordable. Pick all three.
For as long as agencies have existed, the rule was you could pick two. Want it fast and cheap? Quality suffers. Fast and good? Wallet bleeds. Good and cheap? Wait six months. AI just broke that rule — not a little, meaningfully. This is what we sell.
- Fast + Affordable — templated site, falls apart in 18 months.
- Fast + Good — 5-figure price tag, out of SME reach.
- Good + Affordable — six-month wait, junior hands.
- Fast — AI drafts the scaffolding, we refine. 4–6 wk builds, not 4–6 months.
- Good — every line still passes through two human hands. Ours.
- Affordable — relatively. Half what the same work cost in 2022.
A note on "affordable". It doesn't mean cheap — cheap is still cheap, and it still bites. It means a proper, custom build costs meaningfully less than it used to. That's the arbitrage. That's what we're passing on.

Questions
The questions we get every week.
01 How much does a new website cost?
Most clients invest £3,000–£8,000 depending on pages and features. You get a fixed quote once scope is clear — after a 15-minute intro call and an email follow-up. No hidden costs, no scope creep.
02 How long does it take?
Most websites take 4–6 weeks from start to launch. AI projects start delivering in 2 weeks and scale from there. We book a launch date in week 1 and hit it — provided feedback comes back within 2 working days. Slow replies slow the project; that's written into the contract so there are no surprises.
03 Do you do retainers?
Yes — and for software and AI work, a monthly plan is usually the best shape. Most clients start on a fixed-price first project (a website or a focused AI build), then move onto a £175/mo care plan for simple websites, or a £3,000–£5,000/month plan for continuous software and AI work.
04 I've had a bad experience with an agency before. How are you different?
Plain English. Honest pricing — fixed for well-scoped work, monthly for ongoing programmes. Weekly Friday demos so you see it happen. Plus you're talking to Chris & Kay directly — the pair who design and build it. No account manager in the middle, no ticketing system, no reselling to juniors.
05 We're not a tech business — will we understand any of this?
Yes. We mostly work with owner-operators — manufacturers, trades, EV installers, retailers, charities, professional services. Nearly none of them are 'tech' businesses, and they don't need to be. We write everything in plain English, not acronyms.
