A small studio that builds websites
& AI agents, quoting tools, admin bots, sales engines
for businesses that make real things.

We're Chris & Kay — a husband-and-wife studio working mostly with manufacturers, fabricators and reactive-door maintenance firms. Based in Tameside, working all over. For decades you could pick two of fast, good and affordable — never three. AI changed that. We pair custom agents with proper web craft, so SMEs finally get all three.

№ 01What we do

Services / Ledger

Three disciplines under one roof. Joined up so nothing falls through the gap.

Let a machine do the busywork.

Your team spends hours every week on tasks a computer could handle in seconds — chasing updates, copying data between systems, reading PDFs, filing emails. We build the bits that take care of it so your people stop copy-pasting.

AI Agents & AutomationRead email, update records, chase follow-ups, run 24/7.

№ 02The maths changed

Old rule · New rule

Fast. Good. Affordable. Pick all three.

For as long as agencies have existed, the rule was you could pick two. Want it fast and cheap? Quality suffers. Fast and good? Wallet bleeds. Good and cheap? Wait six months. AI just broke that rule — not a little, meaningfully. This is what we sell.

Before — 2005–2023
  • Fast + Affordable — templated site, falls apart in 18 months.
  • Fast + Good — 5-figure sprint, out of SME reach.
  • Good + Affordable — six-month wait, junior hands.
Now — with AI in the loop
  • Fast — AI drafts the scaffolding, we refine. 4–6 wk builds, not 4–6 months.
  • Good — every line still passes through two human hands. Ours.
  • Affordablerelatively. Half what the same work cost in 2022.

A note on "affordable". It doesn't mean cheap — cheap is still cheap, and it still bites. It means a proper, custom build costs meaningfully less than it used to. That's the arbitrage. That's what we're passing on.

№ 03How we work

Process / Timeline

Six weeks. Four milestones. No mystery.

We've done this enough times that the shape is predictable — which is exactly what you want when someone else is writing the cheque.

Week 0 — Call

Talk it through.

30-minute call. No slides. We listen, ask questions, and tell you honestly whether we can help.

  • Free recording & notes
  • Honest go / no-go
  • Fixed quote within 48 hrs
Week 1 — Scope

Fix the price.

Written scope, one number, a launch date. You sign it. It doesn't change without your say-so.

  • Fixed-price contract
  • Milestone schedule
  • Named point of contact
Week 2–5 — Build

Get to work.

We build in the open. Weekly demo calls, a live preview link, and you see progress every Friday.

Week 6 — Ship

Launch. Watch. Tune.

We launch alongside you, monitor for a fortnight, and tune what needs tuning. Then you own it.

№ 06Questions

Questions

The questions we get every week.

01 How much does a new website cost?

Most clients invest £3,000–£8,000 depending on pages and features. You get a fixed quote after a 30-minute call — no hidden costs, no scope creep.

02 How long does it take?

Most websites take 4–6 weeks from kickoff to launch. AI projects start delivering in 2 weeks and scale from there. We book a launch date in week 1 and hit it.

03 Do you do retainers?

Yes, for larger programmes where it makes sense. Most clients start on a fixed-price project; when the work is bigger we phase it, or move to a proper monthly retainer. A small £99/mo care plan is also available for day-to-day tweaks.

04 I've had a bad experience with an agency before. How are you different?

Plain English. Transparent pricing. Fixed scope. Weekly Friday demos so you see it happen. Plus you're talking to Chris & Kay directly — the pair who design and build it. No account manager in the middle, no ticketing system, no reselling to juniors.

05 We're not a tech business — will we understand any of this?

Yes. We work almost entirely with owner-operators of manufacturers, fabricators and reactive-maintenance firms — most aren't 'tech' at all, and don't need to be. We write everything in plain English, not acronyms.

Let's see if we can help.

A 30-minute chat with Chris & Kay. No slides. No pitch deck. We tell you honestly whether we're the right fit — and if not, who might be.
