Don't Send the Wrong Door to Site.

For door manufacturers, the cost of a wrong-spec or defective unit reaching site is brutal: re-manufacture, return haulage, install team idle, customer fuming. AI vision inspection at pre-dispatch catches what gets missed when the QC team is on their tenth job of the day.

№ 02The promise

The promise

< 5 sec inspection time per unit
£0 extra hardware required
90%+ first-time-right at install
№ 03Where it hurts

Where it hurts

The door & window manufacturers reality.

Door manufacturing has dozens of failure modes that look fine until install: wrong handle finish, glass in the wrong orientation, hinges on the wrong side, missing intumescent strips on fire doors, paint defects, hardware not fitted. Most can be caught with a careful visual inspection. The problem isn't method, it's consistency — humans get tired, and the consequences land on the install team.

№ 04What we actually build

What we actually build

Tuned for door & window manufacturers.

01

Per-config inspection schema

Every config (left/right hand, frame size, fire rating, glass spec, finish, hardware package) has a checklist. AI inspects each pre-dispatch photo against the schema for the actual order config.

02

Config-correctness checks

Beyond surface defects: is the hardware actually right for this order? Is the glass orientation correct? Are intumescent strips fitted on fire doors? Compares dispatch photo against the order configuration.

03

Phone-friendly workflow

Dispatch staff take photos on phone. AI inspection runs in seconds. Pass = ready to ship. Fail = back to the line with the specific issue flagged.

04

Customer-facing evidence

Dispatch photos doubled as the customer's photo pack. Same image, different downstream use. The QC step takes seconds, the customer record builds itself.

№ 08Questions

Questions

Things people in this industry ask us.

01 Can it tell left-handed from right-handed?

Yes — that's exactly the kind of orientation check AI vision is good at. Handed-ness, hinge side, glass orientation, intumescent placement — all checkable from a single pre-dispatch photo against the order config.

02 What about hardware verification?

Hardware specifications are part of the inspection schema for that order. The system checks the photo against the ordered hardware (handle finish, lock type, etc.) and flags mismatches.

03 Does this work for fire-rated doors?

Yes — and it's arguably most useful here. Fire-rated configs have specific requirements (intumescent strips, smoke seals, certified hardware) that are checked against the order. Missing or wrong items are caught before dispatch rather than at site.

04 How does it cope with custom finishes?

Reference photos per finish are part of the schema. New finishes can be added with 5-10 reference shots. The system flags significant deviation rather than trying to assess subtle colour match — for which you still want a human eye.

05 What about the customer photo pack?

Same images serve both purposes. The QC inspection runs against the order config; the photos archive against the customer record. Zero extra work to maintain the customer-facing evidence.
