For everyday SMB use — drafting emails, summarising docs, generating content, basic data analysis — Gemini is the better deal. It's cheaper (bundled), it's faster to release improvements, and the integration with Workspace apps is tighter because Google ships both. Copilot wins specifically in Excel-heavy work and in shops already deeply invested in M365.

Existing M365 customer doing mostly Word + Outlook work

Choose: Microsoft 365 Copilot. Copilot is the path of least resistance. It works inside the apps you already use.

  • Real productivity gain depends as much on team adoption as on the tool. We've seen Copilot rollouts underused and Gemini rollouts thrive — and vice versa.
  • Neither tool replaces a bespoke AI build for your specific workflows. They handle horizontal tasks (email, docs); bespoke handles vertical tasks (your specific processes).
  • Pricing changes regularly — verify current rates before committing.
