DoorOps is an AI-native SaaS product for UK door contractors. Happy Webs designed, built and co-founded it in-house. It is not a client delivery we did for someone else: it is our own product for the door install and service trade.

Why we built it

Every door contractor we spoke to during discovery told the same story. Engineers finish a job on site, sign off paper worksheets, and by the time the paperwork gets back to the office, if it does, it is half-filled, damp or lost. Invoices get delayed. Compliance suffers. Admin spends half the week chasing scraps of paper.

Off-the-shelf field-service tools cover scheduling and job lists. They rarely fix the messy middle: branded customer-ready paperwork, photo and form data that actually lands cleanly in the office, and AI that helps classify work instead of leaving someone retyping everything.

What DoorOps does

  • Digital worksheets filled in on site and synced back to the office
  • Professionally branded PDFs on demand
  • AI in the core product: classifying jobs, extracting data from photos, generating the customer-ready paperwork contractors need to look credible

Not a chatbot bolted on the side of a generic job app. Built around how door contractors actually work.

Status

DoorOps is preparing for launch. Full-stack engineering, UX, branding and infrastructure delivered by the Happy Webs team. Because we co-founded it, we got to build the specialist tool we wanted door firms (and the industrial clients we already serve) to have access to.

How it sits next to client work

Happy Webs still builds custom websites, SEO/GEO, Workspace readiness and bespoke software for door installers and service firms (CRB Door Systems, Avanti Doors and others). DoorOps is the product path for firms that want a vertical SaaS built by people who live in this trade. Custom and product are both honest: we say which is which.

"Every door contractor we spoke to told the same story: worksheets getting lost between the job and the office. Chaos in the admin. So we built the product they wished existed, AI-native, properly branded, actually built for the workflow."

— Chris Leah, Co-founder & Tech Director, Happy Webs / DoorOps
