Things we get asked every week.
Straight answers on AI, websites, pricing, and how we work. If your question isn't here, send us a message — we'll answer it in plain English.
AI & Automation
AI & Automation.
01 What kind of AI services do you offer?
We offer three core AI services: AI Agents & Automation (workflow automation, task routing, system integration), Document Processing & Data (invoice extraction, reading drawings and specs, data entry), and Custom AI Software (bespoke AI tools, Google Workspace AI, chatbots). All designed for real businesses, not tech companies.
02 Do we need to be technical to use AI?
Not at all. We set everything up and train your team. The tools we build are designed to be as simple as using email or a search engine. You don't need to understand how it works — you just need to see the results.
03 Will AI replace our staff?
No — it frees them up. AI handles the repetitive, time-consuming tasks so your team can focus on the work that actually needs a human. Most of our clients tell us their staff love it because they spend less time on admin.
04 How much does AI automation cost?
Focused automations start from £2,000. Multi-workflow AI integration packages typically range from £5,000–£15,000. Full AI transformation projects with bespoke software start from £15,000. We provide a fixed quote after an initial audit — no surprises.
05 How quickly can we see results from AI?
Simple automations can be live within 2–3 weeks. More complex integrations covering multiple workflows typically take 4–8 weeks. Most clients see measurable time savings from day one of launch.
06 Is our data safe with AI?
Yes. We use enterprise-grade AI providers with strong data protection. Your data stays in the UK where possible, and we follow GDPR best practices throughout. We can also run AI models locally if your data sensitivity requires it.
Pricing
Pricing.
01 How much does a website cost?
A focused Website Rebuild Sprint is £2,750 for an existing WordPress, Wix or Squarespace brochure site rebuilt into Astro. Or bundle into Fabrication AI Jumpstart (£6,950) for site + one core AI pipeline (invoice matching or drawing extraction). Larger bespoke projects from £4,800. Fixed quote after free discovery — no surprises.
02 How much does AI automation cost?
Focused automations from £2,000. For manufacturers: start with the £1,495 AI Readiness Audit + 90-Day Roadmap (workflow map on your invoices/drawings + your exact £/hr math + £450 credit). Fabrication AI Jumpstart £6,950 (site + 1 fab pipeline, 4–8 month payback). Full retainers from £3,200/mo Digital Operation. Fixed quote after audit.
03 Do you charge monthly fees?
The website build is one-off. Optional Care Plan £175/mo for tweaks (or £99/mo on charity rate). SEO/marketing from £900/mo. AI & Software / Digital Operation retainer from £3,200/mo for continuous delivery (the Kingsland shape).
04 Can we pay in instalments?
Yes — deposit / midpoint / launch is standard. We are flexible on payment plans where it makes sense.
05 Are there any hidden costs?
No. The quote is the cost. If scope changes mid-project, we re-quote in writing before the work happens.
06 How do the free tools lead into paid work?
The Agent-Ready Check, Free Business Audit, and Free Website Review are genuinely useful on their own — many people use the scan and never contact us. When there's a clear fit, we move to a credited £450 half-day workflow audit or the £1,495 AI Readiness Audit + Roadmap. We never hard-sell. Most of our best manufacturer clients started with one of the free tools.
07 Do you have special pricing for charities?
Yes. Registered UK charities (Charity Commission number required) can access our Charity Programme: Digital Essentials at £2,450 (roughly 20–30% below commercial rates) plus Care at £99/mo. This includes a full site rebuild, Workspace migration, and one automation (e.g. donor triage or membership system). Proof: The Bridge at Leigh food bank — "kitted out like a proper business" with a custom iPad till system. Limited slots. Enquire via the contact form with your charity number.
08 What's the real ROI for a fabricator on these packages?
We include a written estimate tailored to your numbers in every proposal. Real examples: Invoice matching 8 hrs/week → 20 minutes (Kingsland Fabrications) — ~£12,000–£15,000 annual loaded cost saved at £25–£35/hr. Paint notes from drawings: up to 2 hrs/day supervisor time reclaimed. Full site rebuild for a trade manufacturer: 43% revenue growth + 61% better mobile conversion in year one (UK Workbenches). Most Jumpstart clients see the project pay for itself in 4–8 months before counting new enquiries or error reduction. The Readiness Audit surfaces your specific numbers first.
09 What exactly is the AI Readiness Audit + Roadmap?
A deep 2–3 week engagement (£1,495) that starts with the free live scanner, adds technical + content + MCP analysis, a workflow mapping call focused on your fab processes (invoices, drawings, quoting, shop floor), and delivers a prioritised 90-day plan with 3 concrete AI opportunities, your exact hours/£ math, and a quote for implementation. £450 credit applies. It's the perfect "know before you spend" step for manufacturers.
Process
Process.
01 How long does a project take?
Website Rebuild Sprints run over 7 days once access, content and scope are ready. Larger website projects usually take 4–6 weeks from start to launch. E-commerce and bespoke software take 8–16 weeks.
02 What do you need from us?
Business goals, target audience, existing brand assets if any, and content for each page. We send a clear brief so you know exactly what to provide.
03 How many design revisions do we get?
A Website Rebuild Sprint includes one focused revision pass because the scope is tight. Larger bespoke website projects usually include up to three rounds. First-round approval rate is over 90%, so most clients need fewer.
04 Can we see progress during the build?
Yes — you get a live preview URL and a Friday demo video every week of the build. No mystery.
05 What happens after launch?
One month free aftercare. Optional £175/mo care plan for ongoing tweaks, hosting, and peace of mind.
